How to Find a Home Business or Internet Marketing Mentor ??

When searching for a home based business, there are literally thousands of different choices online. It seems like everyone has a website touting that if you join their team or program, you will be on pace to make six figures almost immediately. Is it really that easy? Of course not. Some people can get up and running that quickly, but for someone new to online businesses (a newbie as you'll be called), you are probably going to need a little help. The person who brings you into their online business or helps you start your own will be referred to as your mentor. Developing a good relationship with a quality mentor can really be the difference between financial success online, and a constant struggle where your online business turns into a money pit. So, how do you find a mentor that is right for you?

There are several things to consider. First of all, many websites have a list of testimonials. That is always a good way to see if a mentor has helped someone else be successful. If the testimonials list an email or website, you can always contact them. Secondly, I can assure you that 90% of the home business websites have a phone number listed. Go ahead and call! What is the risk? You can find out a lot about your potential mentor just by giving them a ring and finding out how forthright they are in answering your questions. You can also do this through email or instant messenger programs as well (on my site anyways, I cant speak for everyone on that I guess). Some good questions are to find out what the day-to-day work of that person is right now, and what is was when they started out.

Also, what can they bring to the table to help you be successful as soon as possible. You will also need to find out what type of investment you are looking at to join the program, and what type of investment will be needed to grow your business once you get started. As a side note, don't just be a price shopper. You want to focus on Return on Investment. If someone gave you $2 for every $1 you gave them, you would give them as much as you could right? Try to keep that in mind. Some of the better programs have higher investments. As with anything in life, you often get what you pay for.

Finally, I want to point out a couple of things to look for in regards to pay that you will want to check out. This is very important. Many websites offer video proof of the income that can be made through the program. Personally, I enjoy this because it actually shows that the owner of that particular site can back up what he says, which is great. However, we all know the website owner can make money online. What we are worried about is if he can help make YOU money online. The answer should be yes, as long as there is incentive. Basically, if you make money, does he make money? This is vital. A good deal of online home business opportunities work on what is called a "pass-up" system. That means that the first couple of sales that you make get "passed up" to your mentor. He will certainly help you get those, I can tell you that. The problem is, after you have fulfilled that requirement, he no longer makes money from your work, so why would he help. Even worse, you are actually a competitor to him now. On the bright side, you now get the first 2 sales from anyone you bring into the business. As a beginner though, you may not know how to get these sales (or to teach someone else to get them) and your mentor now has no incentive to show you ALL that he knows about the business. That is a flawed pay structure. My business uses an override structure that ensures that I am always there to help my team, and I sleep a lot easier at night.

In short, if you can find a mentor to have a good relationship with, your chances of success in a home based business increase exponentially. Companies may come and go, but people that know how to make money online do not lose that knowledge. You will see that good mentors are followed by their students from venture to venture because they are confident the success will follow as well. Find someone that you trust and enjoy working with and you will enjoy your work that much more.

That's why I want to give you a mentor I trust in my source ::
